LARGACHA Y LIEBELT builds the contemporary penny loafer: a handmade Spanish silhouette in velvet, jacquard and tweed, coloured loudly and finished quietly.
The proposition
A loafer that refuses
to be a neutral.
The penny loafer has spent seventy years being sensible. We kept the last, the hand-stitched apron and the slim leather sole — and threw out the beige.
Every pair is cut in fabric first: crushed velvets, woven jacquards, houndstooth tweeds. The result is a shoe you build an outfit around, not one you hide under it.

The women's collection
Six fabrics, one last. Sizes 35–42, each pair cut and lasted by hand in Almansa, Spain.
The making
Twelve pairs of hands,
one pair of shoes.
Fabric selection
Velvets and jacquards sourced from Spanish and Italian mills.
Hand lasting
Each upper is pulled over the last by hand and left to set.
Blake stitch
A slim, flexible leather sole stitched to break in fast.
Finishing
Edges inked, soles waxed, every pair inspected before boxing.
